Pour information la maison Baccarat à commencer à produire le verre Agate , verre opalin ( alliage de verre et silice de cristal ) semi opaque.
Le verre Agate fut un succès dans les années 1840/1870 et contribua à la renommé de la maison Baccarat.
11 coloris fut décliné dont entre autre ce magnifique bleu céleste.

 A gorgeous blue.
 For information, Baccarat has started to produce Agate glass, semi-opaque opaline glass (glass alloy and crystal silica).
 Agate glass was a success in the 1840s and 1870s and contributed to the reputation of the Baccarat house.
 11 colors were available, including this magnificent celestial blue.
 For the enamel decorations Baccarat entrusted the production to the Manufacture de Sèvres.
